Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies
The core standard for panel assemblies in the UK. Every panel goes through routine verification, with design verification records available on request.
From your drawings, or ours, to your site in six clear steps, with one point of contact throughout and an open door at every stage.
Our process
Simple, predictable and the same for every customer, large or small, one-off or regular, from a single junction box to a full line of panels.
Upload your drawings on our website or email them to us. Whatever stage your design is at, send what you have. No drawings? Tell us what the panel needs to do and we can design it for you.
We review your drawings, raise any questions or concerns before we price, and come back with a clear quote and realistic lead time, usually within one working day.
Once you place the order, we procure everything on the BOM from our supply chain, or work with the hardware you free-issue to us. Long-lead items are ordered first.
Your panel is built to your drawings in our Warwickshire workshop by fully qualified electricians: mechanical preparation, backplate layout, trunking, DIN rails, device mounting and wiring.
Every panel is tested by qualified testers and goes through routine verification to BS EN 61439 before it leaves, with functional checks against the drawings. You’re welcome to witness a factory acceptance test.
We handle the delivery on your behalf, anywhere in the UK or the world. Your panel is packed properly for the journey and arrives with the full documentation pack.
Electrical design
Not every customer arrives with finished drawings. If you know what the panel needs to do but not exactly what should go in it, we can complete the electrical design on your behalf in EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical, then build and test the panel to that design.
You get the design files at the end, so the drawings stay with you for maintenance and future changes.
Standards
UK and European standards come first for panels staying in the UK and Europe, and UL 508A for machines heading to North America. Compliance starts at the drawing check, not the final test.

For control panels supplied as part of a machine, covering protection, emergency stopping, control circuits and documentation.
Panels marked and supplied with a declaration of conformity under the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the EU Low Voltage Directive, where required.
UK harmonised cable colours and clear core identification, with ferrules and markers on every termination.
Enclosures selected, prepared and verified to the IP rating your application and environment call for.
Drive and control panels laid out to good EMC practice, in line with the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations 2016.
Power and distribution panels built to connect cleanly into installations designed to the 18th Edition.
Built in our Warwickshire workshop and certified professionally by our third-party certification partner.
Testing
BS EN 61439 requires every assembly to be routine verified before it leaves the workshop. We carry out these checks on every panel we build, record the results in a signed test report, and photograph the finished build.
If you’d like to see the tests for yourself, you’re welcome to witness a factory acceptance test in our workshop.
Upload them and we’ll come back to you with a price and lead time, usually within one working day.
